Buyer Assistance Terms
Important: Limebug Checker is a paid inspection, observation and communications-assistance service. It is not a warranty, guarantee, valuation, certification of authenticity, mechanical warranty, title guarantee, or substitute for a specialist engineer, marque expert, finance/history provider or legal adviser.
1. Scope of the service
Limebug will use reasonable care and skill to carry out the agreed scope. Findings are based on the vehicle, documents, representations and conditions made available at the time of the appointment. Comments about condition, originality, apparent identity, restoration, presentation and suitability are professional or practical observations and opinions within the agreed scope, not statements that every defect, alteration, fraud, hidden condition or future failure has been identified.
2. Seller information and vehicle description
The vehicle remains the seller's responsibility. Limebug does not adopt, warrant or guarantee statements made by a seller, advertiser, database provider or other third party. A Checker report does not make Limebug the seller, dealer, agent, contracting party to the vehicle sale, or guarantor of the seller's title or the vehicle's authenticity.
3. Inspection limitations
Unless expressly agreed in writing, the service is visual and non-destructive. Components may be inaccessible, intermittent faults may not present during an appointment, records may be incomplete, and historic repairs or identity issues may require specialist examination. Buyers should commission any additional mechanical, structural, provenance, finance, stolen-vehicle, import/export or legal checks appropriate to the transaction.
4. Buyer decision
The purchase decision and agreed price remain solely between buyer and seller. Limebug may facilitate communications and logistics, but the buyer must decide whether the available evidence is sufficient and should not treat a Checker report as a direction to purchase.
5. Fee and cancellation
The Checker fee is shown before purchase. Once Limebug has accepted the request and substantive coordination or inspection work has begun, the stated booking/arrangement fee is non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise. Any additional travel, specialist work or third-party service must be agreed separately before it is charged.
6. Payment for the vehicle
The Checker fee does not include custody of the vehicle purchase price or seller deposit. Unless Limebug separately introduces an approved protected-payment provider under separate terms, vehicle funds are not held, safeguarded or released by this WordPress marketplace service.
7. Liability and statutory rights
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including obligations to provide services with reasonable care and skill. Subject to those rights, Limebug is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate seller or third-party information, defects or circumstances that were not reasonably observable within the agreed inspection scope, or a buyer's independent decision to proceed with a transaction after receiving the report.
8. Third-party services
Vehicle-history providers, freight companies, payment providers and other specialists operate under their own terms. A Limebug introduction or link does not make their data or services part of the Checker warranty or create a guarantee of their findings.
9. Records and complaints
Limebug may retain the request, report, photographs and communications reasonably required to administer the service, demonstrate the agreed scope and handle queries or complaints, subject to applicable data-protection requirements. Contact Limebug promptly if you believe the agreed Checker service has not been delivered with reasonable care and skill.
